Who is Chris Jay?
Chris’ passion for the art of magic began after seeing a live magic show as a young boy. His father had shared a similar interest at that age and gifted Chris a beginners magic kit to help spark his curiosity. Chris went on to learn those tricks and more, making frequent visits to the local magic shop to perfect his craft. Chris began his career performing the opening act in a local theatre billed as “the eight year old sensation”. He performed every chance he could including school talent shows and family gatherings.
Tired of the standard routines of cups and balls; rope cutting and restoring; linking rings and the like, Chris refocused his attention and mastered card magic and sleight of hand. He performed at festivals, fund raisers, theatres, and various events, including a performance for a crowd of nearly 2,000 spectators.
Craving even more, Chris later switched his focus to mentalism, opening the door for him to study hypnosis. Chris was mentored by a Western New York legend, “The Kazz-Man”, certified hypnotherapist Budd Kazz.
Always eager to give back, Chris considers himself fortunate to be able to share the mystery of magic and hypnosis with others just as he experienced in his youth.
